QVC joins KISS to support awards
KISS Communications is being joined by some of the UK’s best known DIY brands in sponsoring the prestigious DIY Week and Homewares Magazine’s Product of the Year Awards 2010. International retail brand QVC, Spring Fair International and Autumn Fair International have recently added their weight to the event, joining Cuprinol, Sikkens, Polycell, Hammerite, Dulux, Sam’s Centre, Totally Tools, Totally DIY and Totally Secure, and the European DIY Retail Association (EDRA). KISS Communications was recently voted one of the top five East of England marketing agencies in Business Weekly’s ‘Image Maker’s 2010’. The company has experience of handling pan-European marketing campaigns for consumer brands and understands the cultural differences which is vital when delivering a wide international marketing brief. Simon Fryer, Managing Director at KISS Communications, said: “We have specialist knowledge in the DIY sector and are delighted to sponsor the ‘security category’ in DIY Week’s ‘Product of the Year 2010 Awards’. Momentum is really gathering pace for the awards, with just two weeks to book a table for the event being held at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel on Friday 14 May. “Joining some of the country’s leading DIY brands to sponsor the DIY Week awards is a real honour for KISS. It also provides us with a great opportunity to see in advance some exciting new products. We have worked in the DIY sector for many years and it is an area that is constantly delivering exciting and innovative products.” Simon continued, “There is a real opportunity for UK based manufacturing companies in the present economic climate. Some of our clients have capitalised on this opportunity and with our help have dramatically increased their profile via marketing, increasing distribution across their target markets. Clients often require everything from trade and consumer advertising, exhibition stands for high profile European events to product packaging, merchandising and point of sale, sometimes in over nine different languages.” Since KISS started three years ago, the agency has won an impressive number of blue chip clients, including Plasti-kote, Booking.com, Johnson Matthey, Bosch, SISK and Maersk, and successful SMEs, including Couch Perry & Wilkes, ERBI, Vincent & Gorbing, and Cambridge Past, Present & Future. Entry is open to any product launched since January 2009 in DIY, housewares, hardware, home security, garden, tools, tabletop, decorating and kitchenware.
