Sunday 27th July will see a group of us take to our bikes for the annual Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity bike ride. We are taking part in this gruelling 60 mile challenge to raise money and help fund the life-changing work of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, a charity dedicated to transforming and saving the lives of people affected by breast cancer.
Starting from Pickett's Lock in North London, we will cycle through beautiful countryside to finish at Midsummer Common in the heart of Cambridge, and will be met with live music, refreshments, and a well-deserved massage.
Our Creative Director, Richard Bland, who rallied the team together, says: “Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK. One in eight women will be faced with the prospect of dealing with this terrible illness, and that is why we are proud to be supporting a charity that is working to transform the lives of those affected by it.
“The London to Cambridge bike ride is a fantastic challenge, and the team has been training really hard for the big day. We have our bikes at the ready, our KISS jerseys are on their way, and now all we can do is hope that our friends and colleagues will get behind us and show their support in helping us to reach our target of £700.”
If you would like to help us reach our £700 target, donations will be gratefully received at www.justgiving.com/KISS-Communications. Or alternatively, if you would like to challenge yourself and take part in this sponsored charity ride, you can sign up at http://www.bike-events.com/Ride.aspx?id=410.
