KISS moves closer to No.1

KISS Communications has been voted number two marketing agency in Business Weekly’s New Year ‘Honours’ List. Business Weekly, the UK’s only regional weekly business newspaper, announced the accolade on 13 January in its independent rankings of the best East of England companies. According to Editor of Business Weekly, Tony Quested, the ‘Honours’ are the definitive barometer of the best in the business and are an independently credible endorsement of excellence. KISS Communications has jumped two places in the rankings. Tony said: “The agency continues to benefit from the inspired strategic leadership of MD Simon Fryer. “The name is deliberate – Keep It Simple Stupid – but don’t be fooled,” says Tony. “KISS loves wrestling with complexity; give it a tough mission and watch how it sieves this through a filter of commonsense and comes up with a simple, but effective solution. Some agencies pay lip service to delivering an integrated service but KISS has created a new paradigm.” KISS Communications competed against hundreds of PR, advertising, marketing, and design agencies across Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Bedfordshire, Suffolk and Norfolk in the fiercely competitive ‘Image Makers’ category. Managing Director at KISS Communications, Simon Fryer: “What a fantastic group of people to work with, this accolade is as a result of the hard work and dedication of each and every one of the KISS team, the support of our suppliers and fantastic clients. The agency has grown throughout the last year and has focused on producing inspiring ideas with an obsessive attention to detail. The whole agency was involved with our recent attainment of ISO 9001 accreditation which has had a major impact on our ability to increase service levels whilst maintaining a high level of competitiveness. This commitment to professionalism has resonated well with our current clients and new business wins.” Richard Bland, Creative Director at KISS, added, “Last year we were voted fourth which was a great achievement, but to have reached second place is fantastic news. We are all committed to working very hard to be No.1. It won’t be easy as the competition have been around longer and are bigger than us, but the KISS Communications team are energetic, nimble and love a challenge!” Richard concluded, “To borrow a line from Avis, which will become the KISS mantra for 2011, because we are number two, we try harder.” The agency works with a mixture of Blue Chip, successful SMEs and interesting start ups, including Anglian Water, Bosch, Booking.com, Johnson Matthey, SISK and Plasti-kote, One Nucleus, Cambridge Past Present & Future, Balancing Blooms and Geomerics. The company provides advertising, design, branding, digital, exhibitions and public relations services.
