KISS Communications sponsor 'Product of the Year'
KISS Communications is sponsoring DIY Week, and Housewares Magazine’s Product of the Year Awards 2011 for the second consecutive year.
The well-respected industry awards are the UK’s only awards for the home improvement and home enhancement sector, a sector KISS has worked extensively in for many years.
Sponsoring the awards alongside KISS Communications are some of the UK’s best known DIY brands, including Bosch, Black & Decker, Sikkens and Polycell. Recognising the DIY industry’s innovation, imagination and creativity, both in developing new ideas and reinventing old ones, the awards will culminate in a ceremony at the Park Lane Hotel, London on 13 May.
KISS Communications was recently voted one of the top three East of England marketing agencies in Business Weekly’s ‘Image Maker 2011’. The company provides strategy, advertising, branding, design, digital, exhibitions and public relations services. Simon Fryer, Managing Director at KISS Communications, said: “Sponsoring the security category in ‘Product of the Year’ is a real honour for us and we are looking forward to seeing the innovative products being put forward this year. This is just one of the ways we support creativity in this fast growing and exciting sector.” Simon continued, “We have specialist knowledge in the DIY and housewares sector, not just in the UK but across Europe. Our experience in energising brands and helping companies to gain distribution and increase sales in domestic and export markets puts us in a strong position to support these awards.”
Will Parsons, Editor of DIY Week said, “We are very pleased to have KISS Communications as sponsors of ‘Product of the Year’ again because it underlines the important role PR and marketing agencies play in the industry. We applaud the fact that a proactive agency like KISS is using Product of the Year 2011 as an opportunity to put something back into the sector.”
In addition to working in the DIY sector with clients such as PlastiKote, Bosch and the Hedgehog Gutter Brush, KISS Communications has won an impressive number of blue chip clients in the last couple of years, including Anglian Water, Booking.com, Johnson Matthey, SISK and Maersk, and successful SMEs, including One Nucleus, Balancing Blooms, Vincent & Gorbing, and Cambridge Past, Present & Future. Richard Bland, Creative Director at KISS said, “We have extensive experience in working with consumer brands and implementing trade and consumer marketing projects including websites, packaging, POS, merchandising and advertising in multiple languages across many countries. One of our guiding principles, which has stood us in good stead with our clients in these challenging economic times, is our ability to deliver maximum effect with minimum means.” He continued, “We also have a proven track record in accessing domestic and export grant funding for marketing activity. This has enabled many of the companies that we work with to upscale marketing projects without an increase in costs.”
Award-winning comedian Adam Bloom has recently been confirmed as the compere for the event. Adam’s TV credits include Never Mind The Buzzcocks, The Stand Up Show and Channel 4’s Comedy Lab.
