Huntingdonshire Mencap Society selects KISS Public Relations

The Huntingdonshire arm of national learning difficulties charity Mencap has appointed KISS Public Relations to handle its PR and media relations. The organisation is the voice of learning disability within the Huntingdonshire region, working collaboratively with individuals and their families and carers, fighting for equal rights, campaigning for greater opportunities and challenging attitudes and prejudice. The charity also provides help and support through supported living, employment, respite services and organised activities helping people with learning difficulties live life as they choose. The organisation was keen to appoint a PR agency with a strong reputation in results-driven media relations and experience of working within the not-for-profit sector. KISS Public Relations has worked with a variety of charities, including national muscular dystrophy charity, The Muscle Help Foundation and Cambridge Community Foundation, an organisation which connects local donors with good causes in the region. These projects have involved a variety of PR activities, ranging from raising the general profile of the charity through to promoting events run by the organisations. The agency was most recently involved with Ely City Golf Club’s Captain’s Charity Day which raised in excess of £8,500 for local causes.
